| In Rheinland, Germany, the Carnival starts already on Thursday with Altweiberfastnacht (old women's carnival). Especially in Cologne and in Dusseldorf where it is "women's day": Women has the right to cut men's tie half. All these pictures are made in Dusseldorf at 11th February 1999. Most women go to the "Altstadt" where are cafes, so called alt beer and there is the fun: To be for one day the person they would like to be. The weather was a little bit rainy this year! |
