| Amsterdam, 12 mei 2007. Opening van een expositie van recent werk de Deense kunstenaar Jesper Knudsen (1964). Knudsen's Paintings are always executed wit drop-dead painterly instinct. They sometimes seem barely in control, like a frenzied sax solo you think will never drop back down. He paints what he feels, with an henoesty that's rare. He simply can't tell a lie in his paintings and so they slug straight to the gut. All of his pictures contain one or more stories, as if torn directly from a life in which, as the poet Morten Nielsen says. An impression. |
